Finance Intern

The Bigeye team of strategists, account managers, creative directors, copywriters, designers, programmers, and operations professionals works closely with clients to better understand the needs of their consumers and deliver measurable results.
Responsibilities
We are looking for students who are studying accounting, finance, business administration or a related field and are eager to learn the ins and outs of finance management at a fully integrated advertising agency. You’ll work directly with our Finance Manager to evaluate financial statements, prepare financial reports and summaries, maintaining financial records and more. Our ideal candidate is hard working, curious, and has a great sense of humor.
Qualifications
Available 16 hours a week, in office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organization skills and high attention to detail
Technical skills:
1. Accounting Software Proficiency:
- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar
- Familiarity with spreadsheets (Excel, Google Sheets) for financial data management and analysis.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Familiar with financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements.)
- Willingness to learn how to assist in the preparation of financial reports and summaries.
3. Basic Accounting Principles:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record keeping.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial data.
4. Analytical Skills:
- Ability to analyze financial data, identify discrepancies, and provide solutions.
- Proficiency in reviewing financial documents for accuracy and completeness
5. Organizational skills:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Capability to maintain orderly and accurate financial records.
6. Communication Skills:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for interacting with team members and clients.
-Ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely.
- Willing to ask questions when clarity is needed.
7. Problem-Solving Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to financial discrepancies or reporting errors.
- Proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential accounting problems.
